NEW DV-RIG HIT AT IBC 2003
=========================

Innovators Danny Natovich and designer friend Ofar from Israel introduced a very succesfull new Rig for optimal stability.   Many professional cameramen from all over the world tried it and were really very enthusiastic: a genius design which ends having problems and strain injuries! Now after a day the demonstrators  were still fit!

Adam Wilt about DV-RIG in febr.2004 DV.magazine

The DvRigPro from Israel’s Dvtec is a camera stabilizer combining
a shoulder mount with a novel spring-loaded body pod. The result is a
stable camera floating hands-free in front of the shooter. The shoulder mount and
twin handgrips give shooters a stable grip while the springy body pod floats the camera with minimal body-generated vibration.
While it’s not as smooth as a Steadicam for moderate to fast motion, it is
quite a bit easier to use, and I’d rather use the DvRigPro for handheld lockdowns: the floating horizons that one often seen in Steadicam work are avoided by the DvRig-Pro’s firmer attachment to the body. It’s one of those “why didn’t someone think of this before” solutions to what has been a common problem.

I have to tell you I think the DvRigPro is excellent for specialty shoots and assignments.
It is great for situation where a professional cameraperson needs a small camera to do some lengthy and artistic camera moves. this is the rig for that. I'm impressed.

REAL PROFESSIONAL SHOOTING
DvRigPro. is the most professional camera rig on the market. It is designed for Stability and comfort but above all for versatility, freedom of movement and framing.

The Active Suspension Support pod acts like a Steadicam ! The Camera can be moved aside and be positioned for viewfinder or LCD shooting.

Tilt Up and Down to any angle 180 Deg. From floor to ceiling. You don't have to "Break" your back for those extreme tilt up or down positions, Just tilt the camera and stay standing straight and comfortable. Shoot at the Objects Eye Level Higher or Lower then your height. Now You can make perfect eye level shoots of sitting people or even Shoot over the crowd’s heads. No matter how tall you are, Get your
Shoots just right.

DvRigPro  works great for:
Sony PD-150, DVX-100, PDX-10, Canon MX1 MX2 (GL-1,2) Sony TRV-900 Etc.

It's spectacular, finally the best shouldermount for a PD150! (VX2000 Canon XM1/2 / GL1/2 etc)

NO REMARKS AT ALL????
Review from user at manufacturors site:
"The downsides are cost and an occasional feeling of being restricted in the spontanity of your shots. Changing shots might require loosening and tightening the knobs or the spring-loaded rod. It might be harder to use the device following fast-moving and variable action than it would be to shoot hand-held. There is a learning curve to effectively "flying it."
But for wedding, event, ENG and
controlled production uses, this product is a winner!

Alternatief:

Ook een aardig alternatief is de Marzpack
zie www.Marztech.com   en de actieshots

en weer anders maar ook erg mooi is de Steadicam Jr
